About the degree

Two years · Ten courses plus two Ministry Practicums

The Associate of Biblical Studies gives you a working foundation in Scripture, life in Christ, and ministry practice. You learn to hear God, understand the church and the Kingdom, and lead with maturity. Your assessed work emphasizes clear explanation, guided reflection, and application through supervised practice. Of the six degrees, this one asks for the least independent research. You build understanding and practical skill, and you apply both under supervision.

Each year includes a Ministry Practicum that earns course credit. The practicum runs alongside your courses, so you practice what you learn as you go. If you complete the Associate of Biblical Studies, it counts toward a bachelor’s degree. You can continue into the Bachelor of Theology or the Bachelor of Ministry and finish a four-year degree.
